Little Girl

My name is a song written by an arranged couple; their hearts joined by stars, jasmine, and gold. The sea whispers for them to come back to their homeland. They remain at the ends of an island. My name is a little girl. Her hands placed together to pray to gods she will soon forget. Wishes that are never heard until it’s her birthday. My name is a book filled with adventures beyond the imagination. A trip into outer space, reaching towards undiscovered planets. Worlds of wonder. My name is a sleepless night where hopes and dreams cloud the mind. Breathing starts to slow. A moment fading once eyes flutter, open and shut.
